For this month's You Want Pie with That? Nic of Bakeologie and Carrie of Cooking With Carrie selected the theme: "Resolution Breaker Pie."
I made a Black-Bottom Peanut Butter Pie that is now renamed Fat-Bottom Pie!
You can find the recipe here on Epicurious.

It has a graham cracker crust, thick layer of chocolate ganache and a peanut butter mouse. I made 1/4 the recipe and used peanut butter (creamy) instead of melting peanut butter chips.

My little 3-inch friend is channeling me!
I'm so okay with my fat-bottom. Oh well, I'll start my new years resolutions again on Chinese New Year...

Check out the other You Want Pies with That? bakers! And join us! Next month, I get to choose the theme because I won last month's Holiday Pie Theme with my Partridge in a Pear Tart. Very exciting!
Wow, that looks really decadent! Love the little lego man :) I would never be able to stick with a resolution that banned sweets!
ReplyDeletehahahaha. cute post. it certainly does look like a fat bottom pie ;) but one that is worth it!!
ReplyDeleteOooh momma - just pass the pie this way and I won't be forced to use my sword! That looks like it should be illegal. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteYou're not really giving up sweets for the new year, are you?
To all those who think I might actually consider "no sweets" a new years resolution....No way! :) The most I would do is a "no sweets" on the third Wednesday of even number months... :)
ReplyDeleteAnd here I was, thinking I would buy a toy cow to keep in the kitchen as a little reminder for myself...I missed your partidge in a pear tart, so I'm glad I had another chance to see it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy (and sweet-filled) new year!
There's no way you can go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate. Yummmmm
ReplyDeleteThat said, I don't keep peanut butter cups in the house for obvious reasons.
Love the little guy, but it would take a whole army of them to keep me away from that pie. Chocolate and peanut butter, oh yeah.
ReplyDeleteIf that pie were anywhere near me, I'd dive into it also! Love the Playmobil friend. And great call on using the real peanut butter. It's so much better than chips.
ReplyDeleteNancy
Love the Lego guy! Peanut butter and chocolate is a great combination! I love that you are renaming it fat bottom pie, too cute!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that would just make my fat bottom even fatter. But it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, that is the cutest post ever! :D
ReplyDeleteThe pie looks delicious but I need to adopt that resolution too... :S
Oooh that looks and sounds soooo good! And I love the playmobile guy! I was away so I didn't participate this month- I can't wait for next month's challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos...and of course the pie looks great too!
ReplyDeleteI love your little playmobil man, too cute! As for that pie... wow. I'd need help to resist that, too!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I would totally break my resolutions if I was anywhere near this pie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this delightful idea, and for such a delicious blog! I've never tried making a pie with peanut butter before, but I'm pretty sure it can only be a hit... What I do to feel less guilty about eating such decadent desserts is have them instead of a proper lunch or dinner. You know, just once a week.
ReplyDeleteHaha, this is a great post. I mean, really the diet has to have room for chocolate and peanut butter. Looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteFat bottom, indeed! You crack me up!
ReplyDeletemy waistline just expanded an inch reading about this pie...
ReplyDeletePB and chocolate...YUM!!!!
Man... and I never... Black-Bottom, peanut butter.. Oh goodness so Yum! I can not do NO sweets but with my diet.. I do it in moderation a SMALL piece verses a big, huge piece.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of a peanut butter pie!
ReplyDeleteI'M not at home right now and I'm going crazy because I can't make this right now. Even a spoonful of peanut butter would help quell the craving, but I have nothing and this sounds sooooo good!
ReplyDeleteGreat Pie. Great guardian. Did he keep you away. I hope not. Too pretty not to eat it.
ReplyDeleteHA! Too cute! I think you'll win again this month, with the help of your little Lego friend. The tart looks fabulous--that huge pile of PB mousse is calling to me right now. But there's no shame in indulging, after all...
ReplyDelete"Fat bottomed girls, you make the rockin' world go 'round!"
LOL! Cute post and that pie looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation is so cute, crafty and clever! Even though I would go anaphylactic if I ate that, I still say job well done :)
ReplyDeleteYummy! Great job!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute! I remember playing with those little guys.
ReplyDeleteI say no to swearing off sweets too!
Mmmm, that looks perfect... and fattening! Good call only making 1/4 recipe.
ReplyDeleteYummy!!
Good to know I am not alone. So then you go and tempt me with one of my favs, choc and pb!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOD this looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Very cute!
