Red, White and Blue "O" Obama Bars

"O" Obama Bars
Ooooooobama! Our new president!!!!
Red, White and Blue OOOOOOOOOOObama Bars

"O" Obama Bars

I'm working today at the library...and bringing in my radio to hear Obama's inaugural speech. I've spent way too much of my three-day weekend watching lots of Leverage and Real Housewives of the OC (sooo embarrassed to tell you this) in order to clear out my DVR so I can tape all the inaugural festivities.

Here is the second Inaugural Celebration goodie: Red, White and Blue OOOOOOOOOOObama Bars made with lots of cereal "O"s, dried cranberries and dried blueberries. I got these delicious dried blueberries from Oh Nuts!

"O" Obama Bars

I took inspiration from Everyday Food (saw them make this while clearing out the DVR!)

1/2 c dried cranberries (the RED)
Cherrios or Trader Joe's O's or any toasted oat cereal - 6 cups (the WHITE)
10 ounces of mini marshmallows (the WHITE)
1/2 c dried blueberries (the BLUE)
1/4 stick of butter

i think i HAVE to make it just to make up for the lack of any experience with making rice krispy treats as a child :)

  2. these look nice! and are so easy to make I think since there s no method how. but I assume that you just melt the butter and mashmallows then add the cranberries and cereal. Nice treat
