Sorry, no Tuesdays with Dorie Floating Islands today. I really wanted to make them but through a crazy comedy of errors (such as forgetting my computer at work, having the camera memory card in one location and the camera in another...you get the picture), I realize floating islands are just not that into me. Sigh.
I hope to make them sometime soon. This week's selector is Shari of Whisk: a food blog and she has one of the best blogs in the world! Please go visit her for the recipe and the rest of the TWD gang for their creative creations!
Um, I made it last weekend and I don't think you are really missing anything by NOT making them. It was not a favorite with us!
ReplyDeleteI think lots of TWD participants didn't like this recipe. I don't like it either so maybe its good you messed this one :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like perhaps my brain and yours are kindred spirits. It's okay you missed this one though - it was just so-so....
ReplyDeleteit's okay! i look forward to your next delish creation! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of recipe you'd hit out of the park. It's subtle and delicious, but it was a challenge for me to make. One of those interesting weeks for TWD - I haven't seen this much difference of opinions since the rice pudding, I think.

I'm still impressed by your last creation!
ReplyDeleteI moved! Come visit me at www.aduckinherpond.com.
I have to agree with Nancy....this would be a breeze for you to concoct. I really thought it was a lovely departure from our American standby desserts. A little living on the French side through Dorie's eyes. After all, she has an apartment there. Really?
ReplyDeleteOkay, hope your rough waters calm down. See ya next week for a piece/peace of cake.

ReplyDeleteAw, you're sweet to say so! I'm glad you got your computer/camera/card all in the right place because those jello squares are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI passed also but I love your jello recipe. Great pictures!
