This cake is just like its name: Cake, Blueberries and Crumb!
I didn't have the full 2 cups of blueberries...so I had to do with one cup. Instead of folding it into the batter, I pour half the batter into the pan and scattered the blueberries on top. Then the rest of the batter and topped with crumb topping!
Thanks Sihan for a great pick! Find the recipe on her website!

Mmm, your cake looks soooo delicious! I love crumb topping; it's such a great compliment to a moist cake!
ReplyDeletethat was clever.. putting the blueberries in the centre of the cake batter. The results are lovely too. and darnit.. the crumbs are problematic!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cake looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnother great Dorie recipe!
ReplyDeleteI dont think you ever make anything I do not like! Delicious! Gorgeous and I love the streusel topping.
ReplyDeleteI think your cake is very pretty-- it's so even! I envy your baking skills! What a great idea to make your blueberries stretch by putting them in as a layer. I also really love crisp/crumb toppings that include nuts-- makes everything even better! I've never heard of chilling crumb topping before using it; I'll have to give that a try!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, and just did a post on your French Yogurt cake. Stop by my blog!

Mary, that looks so good! Pouring the berries over the batter is such a great tip, especially for paranoid folders like me.
ReplyDeleteI had that ribbon of melted butter on top...and you have a picture perfect ribbon of blueberries! Your whole cake is gorgeous! Wasn't this good? I'm already looking forward to making it again.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the full 2 cups of blueberries or not, I think that your cake looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! You were wise to line your pan with parchment. I agree on the crumb topping, but I recently saw a crumb cake on America's Test Kitchen that they actually roll the crumb mixture into little balls, so maybe that helps keep the crumb mixture from melting into the cake. Love your process photos!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos! I really like this cake, the topping is really tasty and I love berry cakes!
ReplyDeleteThis looks yummy! My husband loves blueberries so I think I'll make this. I'm definitely going to try your recipe for broken glass Jello. Thanks for posting it.
