Banana Chocolate Marble Bundt - Day #20 - I Like Big Bundts

Banana Chocolate Bundt - I Like Big Bundts
Day 20 of I Like Big Bundts: 30 Days of Bundt Cakes
Banana Chocolate Marble Bundt

When I go to Disneyland (annual pass rocks!), I love to get a Pineapple Dole Whip from the Enchanted Tiki Room Juice Bar or a Frozen Banana. Banana and Chocolate are such good friends.

Here is a Banana Chocolate Marble Bundt that combines the goodness of banana with the yummy of chocolate!

I got the recipe from Nicole of Baking Bites. I met her at BlogHerFood and she has a cookbook out now! Go check it out...all the recipes look delicious!

Thanks to my friend JustJenn of JustJennDesigns for making the logo!
I'm hoping to inspire you to break out the Bundt pan and make a Bundt to celebrate National Bundt Day on November 15th! Only 10 days away!

A simple dusting of powdered sugar is all this rich, moist Bundt needs!

I reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup. A layer of batter is placed on the bottom and then a layer of batter with cocoa (I used natural cocoa) is added. After being topped with the remaining batter, I swirled the two layers with a knife.

Oh, I want to bottle this scent and wear it as perfume! :) The cake smells divine.

Fresh from the oven, I had to resist breaking into the cake. By the way, here is another Bundt recipe. It was my pick for Tuesdays with Dorie and received great reviews from the TWD bakers: Classic Banana Bundt by Dorie Greenspan.

This is one of those Bundts you can just eat out of your hand. You don't need a plate or pesky fork. ;)

Shout out to Sarah of Looking In for making Day #1's Pumpkin Buttermilk Bundt. She describes it as "Perfection." And Rebecca of The Baking Sisters created a yummy looking Bundt with Halloween candy!

We are in the last days of 30 days of Bundts. Come back tomorrow for another Bundt!

  3. Another great looking bundt! I've never tried mixing two flavoured batters together before, but you're really tempting me with this one and the nutella one.

  4. I don't like bananas at all, but Dole whips are amazing! I don't live anywhere near Disney Land or the Magic Kingdom, but I crave Dole whips. They're so very delicious! You've definitely inspired me to make bundts. I can't stop thinking about them now.

I am baking up some chocolate-zucchini mini bundts right now, using a recipe from King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking. I will be posting them on National Bundt Day! THanks for all the inspiration!

  7. Thanks for the shout out! The cake looks good, but I would have to say that Bananas are my least favorite food, so I probably won't try this one. I've bookmarked a bunch of others to try though.

    (Sorry I couldn't help myself!)

So I kinda hope that my TWD blog post about you being a butt/bundt girl maybe sorta inspired your month of bundts? Huh huh? B/c then I'd feel special. :P PS- Disney annual passes rock!

  15. I made this last night - it was delicious! Unfortunately, it's all gone now, lol. Our sons (19 & 20) took huge pieces in their lunch today, and cut the last of the cake into pieces for their lunches for tomorrow :D I think I'm making the coconut bundt next :) I like big bundts too - thanks for the fun!
