Good Morning!
It's Monday morning and we all need something pretty to start our day.
How about these freaking cute little sugars?
My friend, Mary of Popsicles & Sandy Feet, picked these up in Paris and sent them to me...what a delightful package of cuteness.
On the side of the package, it has some English and says: "Hooking sugars for hot drinks." Sorry, the 8th grader in me just giggled.
I can't read French, but the manufacturers website is full of sugar cuteness. Check out Belle De Sucre!
Thanks East Coast Mary for sending me darling sugars from Paris! - west coast mary
Well, sucre means "sugar" and colombes is "doves." One of the translations for cavalier is "rider" [as of a horse], thus 'sugar dove riders' -- I don't believe they meant it to have a double meaning here, but I did notice that it's close to 'vue cavalière' which means "bird's eye view." :-) On the website it says 'oiseaux à accrocher sur le bord de la tasse' which is "birds to hang on the edge of the cup" -- the other shapes are butterflies [papillons], crowns [couronnes], stars [étoiles], flowers [fleurs], clovers [tréfles], trees [sapins], and Eiffel Towers [Tours Eiffel].
ReplyDeleteOMG these are SO SO SO cute and adorable! I want :) do you know if it's possible to get any mailed to Australia?
