Lemonade restaurant, Downtown LA Delights!
Every few months, an email pops up with the subject line: "Eat" or "Meat Meet" or "When?" This is a calling from UCLA library school friends Socrates and Jun about meeting up to eat. Last month, we met in Downtown LA for lunch at Lemonade.
Jun is getting married to her longtime boyfriend David! Whoo hoo! Here is Socrates admiring her beautiful ring! Congrats Jun and David (and doggies Lunchie and Sunny)!
This Lemonade location caters to the business community in DTLA. Open for breakfast and lunch, M-F. They have other restaurants around Los Angeles with longer hours.
Check out all these salads. You can come back day after day to try them all!
Selection of meats and fish.
They have several simmering Le Creuset pots filled with yumminess. Jun got the chicken dish (left) and I selected the pot roast (right). Socrates picked a trio of their fresh salads.
Of course, they have lemonade! I had the cucumber mint. Delicious! I love sweet items with cucumber (such as this Cantaloupe and Cucumber Sorbet).
The service was quick and staff friendly. We sat in the underground mall to eat and catch up. And to plan our next outing of course! Perhaps it'll be back to Lemonade - there are so many dishes I want to try!

I am going to have to wait for summer to try this place. It looks good.
We love Lemonade in Venice!
Everything looks great! I'm loving how that lemonade sounds.
I used to go to the Lemonade by my old house (on Beverly and Doheny) every week. I looove their cucumber mint lemonade..and the blueberry mint..and the snap pea and edamame salad...and
That looks like a great relaxing place to go for lunch. I love their huge selection of salads - I wouldn't know which one to choose
danggit ... I don't work in DTLA anymore, and this totally adorable eatery is only few blocks away from my old office. what a fantastic looking lunch spot!
I love it there. Venice is better because it's not in a dungeon.
