Raspberry Cream Cheese Breakfast Buns (Magnolia Bakery recipe)
Magnolia's Raspberry Cream Cheese Breakfast Buns

I borrowed the delicious book "More From Magnolia: Recipes from the World Famous Bakery and Allysa Torey's Home Kitchen" from the library. It is a delightful book to read and the recipes all look delicious. No wonder their bakery is so famous!

I made two recipes this morning...yes, I was a little busy bee! First up...Raspberry Cream Cheese Breakfast Buns. (Recipe is on The Recipe Link's website.)

The batter has cream cheese and butter to make it rich. A dollop of raspberry jam or preserves is swirled on top. It is definitely a morning muffin/cake, and I can't wait to try it with lemon or lime curd instead of the jam.

It was helpful to cook them in these foil wrappers. I made some in plain paper cupcake holders and the jam seeped out and stuck to the muffin tin. Bummer. Magnolia makes these jumbo size and I made them "regular" muffin size.

Ooh, those look really yummy. I'm off tomorrow, and I think I have everything I would need, so I may have to give them a try.

These look great! If I weren't so afraid of gaining 25 pounds (it doesn't help that I live in the state of the deep-fry), I'd try some of these yummy desserts.

I made them this morning. Boy, are they good. I think you're right--you could make lots of interesting flavors depending on what sort of jam/preserves/curd you use. Thanks for the inspiration! =)

These look great for a brunch or a quick, running out the door breakfast. Maybe I will make some to take in to work!

Hi, just a quick comment about the silver cups - these can be quite pricy if you use them regularly. Try find silicone paper cups - same stuff baking paper is made out of. The mixture wont seep through at all!
An idea that I use at home and when entertaining is to cut squares of baking paper (you even get coloured ones now!) and make rustic 'cups by just pressing them into the tins so that they naturally crease. This looks really impressive in breakfast baskets or served with a cheese board!
