These cookies contain the yummy ingredients of gingerbread: cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, dark brown sugar and molasses.
The flavors are very fall and gingery. I love ginger so they weren't strong to me, but some people thought they were a bit too gingery (as if that could ever happen! :) It has both ground ginger and fresh ginger.
I rolled them in a combo of granulated sugar and sanding sugar. I just purchased Sugar in the Raw so I want to try that next time.

Mmmmm...these look so good!! Perfect for this time of year. I'm not really crazy about fresh ginger, but I still might give 'em a try without it. Thanks for making me want these NOW!
Oh, I love gingerbread. I just bought some molasses and plan to make some. Maybe I will do these instead. They look great.
Your cookies look fabulous! I love spicy foods in general, so I'll have to give these a try.
I bought her cookie cookbook a few months ago and I drooled as I turned every page.
I really want to make these becaue their texture looks SO good, but I have to admit, I'm not a fan of ginger. Do you think I could substitute with a different ingredient? Oh, and I LOVE sugar in the raw, especially over fresh strawberries.
yummy these look really nice.
I love gingerbread - it's definitely a weakness for me around the holidays!
These look so good! I'm always looking for a yummy ginger cookie recipe and this looks perfect.
I love fresh ginger-any form of ginger, as a matter of fact. I will try these-they look awesome.
One of my favorite holiday cookie recipes is a chocolate gingerbread one from martha. soooo good
I really want to find the perfect ginger cookie recipe (soft and not too molasses-y) so maybe I should try these out. They look delicious!
i am preparing cookies for corporate gifts; and as i prepared these...i was looking for - eggs!
i took a guess and threw one in, at the end after everything is already mixed. i hope it works. other than that, i like the addition of cocoa.
mine tasted good. except for the nasty aftertaste of Baking soda. ew!!! what did i do wrong?
I think the baking soda must be a typo- 2 TABLESPOONS is alot! I used it anyway cuz I thought it had something special to do with the texture, but they really do have a nasty aftertaste. I think they meant 2 teaspoons!
YUMMY YUMMY COOKIES !!!
