Dear George Clooney,
Hi. You don't really know me, but I've known you from the days of Facts of Life. Detective Falconer on Sisters? My UCLA roommate and I planned our weekends around Sisters. When you got killed off? Oh, the pain and heartache. But then there was a little show called ER. Happiness again.
Anyway, I'm just saying I'm not a Johnny come lately girl. Um...unlike your recent cocktail waitress flings, I was actually alive when you started your career. Just saying...experience is a good thing.
So, if you do happen to finally realize that you really need a librarian and baker in your Italian villa...I'm here. And if you want to send me flowers, I'd like a bouquet of Rose Bundts. Like you being named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive (twice!!!), this Nordic Ware pan is totally the Sexiest Bundt Alive!
I made the William Sonoma's Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Lime Glaze. I don't know what happened, but I must have over beat the wet ingredients into a tizzy or something. By the time I slowly mixed in the dry ingredients, it was practically coming out of the KitchenAid bowl. Since the recipe was made to fit into the pan, I just threw in all the batter. Mistake. Luckily, I had some parchment in the oven to catch the overflow. So, note to self: don't over beat and don't overfill! :)
Isn't this sooooo pretty?
Enjoy this lovely pound cake with lime glaze. You can also use lemon as JustJenn does in her adaptation.

It IS very pretty! Gorgeous bundt :) It looks really good and yummy!
oh, so pretty! How could George resist? (and Sisters! I loved that show!)
Beautiful bundt!! Perfect, I always worry about some of the cake staying in the pan but yours came out so nice. The glaze sounds like a nice addition to the pound cake. Will have to try this recipe.
Oh you aren't kidding that's a gorgeously sexy pan! and I didn't know George Clooney was in Facts of Life!
I recently made a pound cake that instructed to use one loaf pan, which then completely dribbled out the sides of the pan and never finished cooking in the middle. Turns out there was a misprint in the cookbook and it was supposed to be TWO pans :-p Thanks goodness I've learned to use a cookie sheet under my pans LOL
That is absolutely gorgeous (just like George Clooney)! I would be afraid that a cake would stick in that pan, but you prove that it can work with fabulous results.
I LOVED Sisters. Teddy and Falconer made such a lovely couple. And then the weirdness followed with the guy who got Falconer's heart. Thank goodness for ER!
Your bundt cake looks and sounds absolutely delicious!!!!!
What a beautiful bundt~it looks so pretty and sounds good too.
so lovely
what font do you use on your photos? its very cute
That is a very sexy pan, and it looks like overbeating didn't hurt your cake at all (who cares about the oven?) Great job!!
That is definitely a sexy bundt pan! Sound delicious!
Looks beautiful and delicious!!!! Would it work w/o the Rose Bundt pan? I don't have one of those... but might need to get one :)
How can you be baking when it's 100+ degrees out????
You are right, this is a beautiful pan...no, the cake that came from the pan! This looks so tasty. I think I need to venture forth and try a bundt pan with character, like yours!
Your bundt cake is beautiful and it looks delicious.
I remember GC in Sisters (I really liked that show) and Facts of Life. Remember him on Roseanne? He's from Lexington and it would be a dream to meet him (although I'm sure Michael wouldn't appreciate my lusting after him...).
You did a great job! I have the beehive pan..I bet it would work..It looks perfect! Thanks.
Another beautiful bundt! Ooh, catchy blog title--Beautiful Bundts!
WHo wouldn't want a bouquet of rose bundts?
so pretty!!! yes, facts of life! i was all about him then, even though i was just a young one then.
Cupcakes with Nic: The Rose Bundt pan is 10 cup. So any 10 or 12 cup Bundt pan would be fine! The cake is yummy so it'll work in anything :)

I loved Sisters, too! I wanted to name my daughter Francesca just to call her Frankie. Guess that's why I was blessed with boys instead. :o) The bundt is beautiful, Mary! I bet George is reading and drooling right now.
Another very beautiful bundt. Facts of Life was one of my favourite shows but I don't remember George in it?! To IMDB now I must go!
It's beautiful!!! I have the mini bundt pan with roses and hoooo boy is it nice (not to tempt you any more, or anything, heh heh heh). WS's recipe for raspberry rose cakes is seriously aaaaamazing (again, not to tempt you, hmm....). ;)
Oh wow, Sisters, I remember watching that. Swoozie Kurtz was my favorite. I have that same rose pan and people always 'ooh' and 'aww' when I use it. Your cake look lovely!
Gorgeous cake! It sounds delicious too.
This looks so tasty!!
You are really getting some use out of your exotic bundt pans! This one looks lovely and delicious. Cream cheese and lime...yum.
Of course George needs a baking librarian!
If George Clooney invites you to his villa, please take me with you. I'll even wash the bundt pan afterward. :)
Oh you just slay me. Another gorgeous bundt, are you kidding me?!? And I really need to try a cream cheese pound cake - it sounds wonderful.
Ooo does this look delicious and dense and soft and moist! I would love a slice.
Ah yes - the queen of the bundt cake stricks again. This is a sexy pan indeed!
I love your letter to George!
And the bundt is beautiful. I have that pan in silicone.
Wow, so beautiful! I'd like a rose bundt pan too.
Sorry to break it to you, but George Clooney belongs to me.
I love pretty bundt cake pans! But man do they get so pricey! MY solution is buying min bundt cake pans. They're half the size and the price!
luv,
heather
Wow everything about this post makes me smile! :D
That is the prettiest cake tin ever!! I want it!! :D
This is so very pretty. Almost too pretty to eat! I think you should market and sell this cake in a stylish gift box with option to personalize a gift card. It's something I would order and ship to friends and family. Can I be your first customer, please? I'm not joking! My brother's birthday is in a week. Would this cake make it to Dallas, TX? Let me know. Thanks, Racheal
LOL, gotta thing for George do ya?
It is a pretty bundt pan but I think I like the other one better.

I didn't think pound cake could be beautiful, looks like you've definitely made it so, though!
I think I'm going to have to agree with your assessment - that is one amazing bundt! I wish I had room to buy all kinds of fancy bundt pans but sadly storage space is just too limited.
heehee! clooney needs to forget the 20 year old floosy and hang with the food librarian. maybe you might find out he loves bundt cakes... match made in heaven!!!
this looks awesome!!
Wow! I like the shape of this one. The lime glaze sounds wonderful.
Oh YUMMM to the max!
this must be delicious!
So so pretty! Your bundt cake posts tempt me to go out and buy a pan! ^^
After seeing this cake and the vanilla bean bundt cake I went straight to amazon and added those two pans to my wishlist! And of course, the cake sounds heavenly :)
