Chewy, Chunky Blondies
For this week's Tuesdays with Dorie selection, Nicole of Cookies on Friday picked Chewy, Chunky Blondies on page 109 of Dorie's book, Baking: From My Home to Yours.
These come together quickly and there is just something comforting and easy-peasy about bar cookies. No scooping teaspoons of dough. Just plop it into the pan, spread it out with an offset spatula and bake!
Be sure to check out the other Tuesdays with Dorie bakers!

Those look very good!!
Wow is all I can say!
Lovely pictures, I still yet to make a blondie!
I only added butterscotch and toffee.
I also only put in 1 c. of brown sugar.
These were super easy to make and so versatile. :) GLad they turned out so well!
they look perfect!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm......che delizia!!baci!
Mmm, I love blondies, but I only make them like once a year. Guess it's time again!
They looks so lovely in the paper holders. The add-ins sound good, too.
These look great. Chewy and not too dry. I make similar adjustments based on what I have and bf/coworker preferences.
Your subsitutions sound delicious! These are pretty versatile, aren't they? We loved them.
your blondies look amazing! i bet your co-workers loved these! It is basically impossible not to!
Your coworkers are so lucky :)....
I'd love to taste these with peanut butter chips. Love your photos!
I almost used peanut butter chips, but went with the butterscotch chips, this time. :) Great looking bars!
That's what I love about these, you can put whatever you want in them. Mmmm, pb!
The brownies, with all of your switches, look quite delicious. I'm sure there were some happy eaters at the library when you took them in!!
Best,
Bonnie
Pretty presentation. They look great!
I love how versatile these blondies are :-) Your version looks terrific!
Hey, just like mine! Coconut haters unite! =P I ditched the nuts because my kids don't like them in baked goods, and just thought PB chips would be less sweet than butterscotch ones in these. Mmm.
Awwww man these look great! Delicious :)
Swapping the butterscotch chips for peanut butter chips is pure brilliance! I love peanut butter chips.
I love this recipe!! One of my favorites!
how did you get such photogenic blondies...they look fantastic! PB chips sound perfect for these.
yup, blondies are for sure my favorite
Thanks for baking along with me this week! I'm a librarian too, and the folks at the library love when I bring in baked goods. These were really perfect because you could add what you want and leave out what you want.
Blondies are my weakness and these look divine!
They look perfect Mary - as always :)
I made the same substitutions Mary, except I kept the coconut in them. It didn't add much flavor, just a chewy texture. Hope the coworkers enjoyed them! They look perfect :)
Love them in the cuppy cups. Very elegant for such a simple and delicious bar.
