Ever since my cousin introduced me to Ici, I try to fit in a trip on every visit. They have wonderful handcrafted ice creams and sorbets in great flavors. Peach habanero sorbet anyone? How about shiso leave ice milk? Yum!
In addition to yummy frozen treats (including great ice cream sandwiches), they have sell some treats too. I've never purchased those...because I'm too busy stuffing my face with ice cream!
Um, I completely forget what Pam got...dude, I need to blog as soon as the event happens. But I had a taste and it was delicious! I've never been disappointed...and I've tasted a lot of their flavors! See all these friends in a previous entry...well, I tried all their flavors.
Boysenberry Sorbet for me. Delicious!
I can't wait for my next visit to see Pam and Toby! He's got a nice mohawk going here. I pushed Toby around in his cool stroller playing the role of Auntie Food Librarian.
Here is little Toby (9-months) in a baby backpack on his mom, Pam. Pam's dad created this sun shade to protect Toby's soft-as-a-freaking-baby-skin. He can't wait to have Ici ice cream soon!

Hi Mary! Ici is always the go-to place for anyone visiting or living in Berkeley, but I find that Tara's Organic Ice Cream to be better. Her stores (one on College Ave near Safeway and another down Telegraph Ave) always have a wider selection than Ici. There are also wild but delicious flavors, even more than Ici. And I actually like her waffle cones better (I can do without the chocolate bottom and the non-waffly texture of Ici's cones). There is this black sesame one that really adds another dimension to your ice cream. You should try this place out some time. Maybe if you're in the Bay area again, I can take you there! ~Pauline
Wish I could go to this place right now. There is nothing more satifying in my book than a good scoop of ice cream.
Pauline, I really like Tara's ice cream too!!! It is delicious and their flavors are awesome! - mary
Hi Mary.. you have been a naughty 39 9/12 girl! All that eating these days and not much baking and blogging! I've been lagging behind too in my blogging.. I baked lots of time but just lazy to blog about it.
I have a question and hope you can help me since you live in LA. I've been wanting to get a bundt pan (nordic ware or equivalent).. most don't ship to my location (malaysia) and/or the shipping cost is high. My niece will be in LA later this month.. I'm wondering whether Target in Glendale carries it. I checked on the Net.. the items are mostline online sales. Would be great if you could let me know.
Sorry for the long 'comment'.. I tried email but nothing happened.
THANK YOU!
Hi Montserrat, Target might carry it (I know I've seen a Bundt carrier before), but each location holds different stuff. Make sure your niece gets a NORDIC WARE pan, not another brand (the curves are the best on the Nordic Ware). I like the 12-cup Bundt Pan from Nordic Ware. Hope this helps! - mary
Thanks Mary.. I will get my niece to seek it out.. nothing but Nordic Ware! (and I hope she succeeds). I've been wanting to get one since your bundt cake marathon last year ;)). You're not planning another bundt marathon this year? Can't remember the day now.. is it Nov 9? Thanks once again Mary.. have a nice day!
My favorite Ici flavor is basil. I have only had it there once (over a year ago) and I still fantasize about it! yum!!
