Food Librarian's Bundt Collection

I can't believe it is almost here.

No, not Christmas decorations at Costco...those were up weeks ago.

I'm taking about a lovely, lovely sexy dessert. The Bundt Cake!

For those who know what I'm talking about... Year Three (can you believe it'll be three years?!?!?) is coming soon.

Food Librarian's Bundt Collection
For those who don't...crank up Sir Mix-a-Lot and look at these. Oh yeah, and dust off your sexy pan.

See you soon!

I have had bundt day marked on my calendar for months! How could we NOT be excited?

P.S. If you ever hear that I am in LA and your rose bundt pan goes missing, er eh...it wasn't me.

OMG, I cannot wait to see your bundts this year!! (Alas, I have yet to bake a bundt. A friend gave me a mini bundt pan years ago but I have yet to use it -- maybe it's time to break it out!)

I love the bundt. And I love some of those pans. Wow....that swirled one in the front especially. Where did you get that....must....have.

@The Mom Chef You can look at the I Like Big Bundts page for a "fashion show" of the bundt pan with links to Amazon. I think you mean the Williams Sonoma one (available at their store, online and Amazon). http://foodlibrarian.blogspot.com/p/i-like-big-bundts.html

When I've made bundt cakes in the past, they usually turn out dull...with the exception of Mr. Lebovitz's polenta cake with olive oil and rosemary.

I'd love to make a bundt again for "big bundts". Can you recommended some of your favs?

ps:love your blog

I'm a librarian in Michigan and this year I have decided to make Bundt cakes and post them on our library's website in honor of this fine holiday (National Bundt Cake Day!)and to promote our cookbook collection! Will definitely give your blog credit as being my inspiration. :)

I have my pin from last year up at work and it always gets lots of attention! Can't wait to celebrate it again. Time flies doesn't it?

Can't wait. Bring it on. Can we get tshirts that say "Long Live the Bundt" to wear around town?

This comes at the perfect time! I was just wondering today if I could cook my carrot cake (which bakes in 2 9" pans) in a bundt pan. Do you have to make any changes to the recipe? Cook longer? etc...

The Food Librarian said... [Reply to comment]

@noe You should probably be able to... just don't fill more than 2/3 or 3/4 full (depending on how much the cake usually rises). You'll probably have to bake longer too. Good luck! Hope it works out! - mary

I REALLY can't believe it's that time again. Man, those National Bundt Cake days seem like birthdays that just come so often. ;)
It just dawned on me today I'm a few days behind checking your blog everyday! Can't wait to see all the great bundts this year! And can't wait to decide what I'll be making on the special day!

Oh, and thanks for baking with me for TWD a couple weeks ago with the Apple Nut Muffin Cake, I'm so behind. ;)
